Liebster Award=Middle School Teachers are the BEST!

I just noticed I was nominated for the Liebster Award by 2 of my newest followers!  Thanks so much!  I teach all levels in my middle school and I must say, this year, by far, has been the toughest for me and my colleagues!  I am also the head cheerleading sponsor and Computer specialist for our campus.  I am married to James, my high school sweetheart, firefighter, for 19 years now and we have one precious, center of my world, daughter, Madison(who is 14 and a freshman this year!)

1. How long have you been teaching?  14 years

2. What is your most disgusting habit? I wouldnt call it a habit, but I teach Middle School for a reason...to get down on their level and be silly..sometimes that involves being "disgusting" to make them laugh or get their minds off their worries..  I use a fart soundboard when someone new walks in the room.. it is so immature and they love it LOL!

3. How much time do you spend in one week blogging or looking at other people's blogs? maybe 1 hour total.  this year i havent even watch a full hour of tv yet..only football games..no time :(

4. What is your proudest accomplishment? My Sweet daughter..she is my everything

5. Favorite beverage? Belini

6. Teaching tool you couldn't live without?  my computer..I am very hi-tech with the kids to get them engaged

7. What is your favorite snack? Sonic Strawberry Slush

8. If you could change one thing about your school, what would it be?  No advisory period..

9. What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?  watch Cowboys Football with my family

10. Why do you blog?  I like to share my ideas and creations with others

11. Do your students or friends have a nickname for you? What is it?  Mrs Tharp Marie...  because If I need to get a student's attention, I say their name and always "Marie" for their middle name, whether its a boy or a girl..too funny, so now they do it  to me!
